Horison Ultima Semarang is in a state of disrepair. Horison took over Star apartments, so it's much older than suggested, and apparently have done nothing to the building. The corridors and rooms were in a shocking state and the towels were threadbare and greyish (by the way, you'll need to use it at the pool as well because you only get one, which they may change, however, housekeeping is slow and forgot to initially leave any towels in the rooms). The room windows have a film on the outside, presumably to reflect the sun, unfortunately it was bubbling and made looking out impossible.
The valet parking is very good, and necessary given the tight space of the parking lot. There is a mall next door which has some passable food options but a car is necessary to get to attractions or downtown.
The rooftop infinity pool is the instagramable drawcard of the hotel. The view is excellent but, once again, the cleanliness of the pool and surrounds is poor.
Stay elsewhere.

The hotel room is quite clean, it's just that many of the wallpapers are peeling off so it makes it a bit uncomfortable, some furniture is peeling off and the door stopper is broken, the service is quite friendly, the strategic location is right next to Java Mall, there is quite a lot of parking space but you have to be careful because the parking ramp is narrow and you have to go down the stairs manually and there are no lights in the stair area. The swimming pool is clean, the view from the skylounge is pleasing to the eye, overall it is quite good and comfortable but needs improvement to be safer and more comfortable

As one of the Hotel chain big names in Indonesia, Horison should have a better quality hotel.
